According to RipOffReport "Since the Ripoff Report was started in 1997, our policy has always remained the same - we don't remove reports. We will not remove reports even when they are claimed to contain defamatory statements. We will not remove reports even if the original author asks us to do so. Also, contrary to what our critics would like to believe, we will NOT remove reports for money. Don't believe us? Just make us an offer and see how we respond." This is a problem. A site with domain authority like Ripoff Report is in a unique position to harm an innocent website by providing a public forum where anyone can say whatever they want about a business, whether it's true or not. Reviews of Health Insurance Innovations (HIIQ or hiiquote) abound across the internet on numerous forums: BBB.org, MyThreeCents.com, ComplaintBoard.com, RipoffReport.com and more. Customers are 100% entitled to their opinion and ability to share their experience with others. However, there is a fundamental misconception about the services Health Insurance Innovations provides. HIIQ is a third-party billing administrator whose technology is used by independent insurance agents and brokers selling products produced by insurance carriers. HIIQ does not insure anyone. HIIQ does not deny claims. HIIQ does not approve claims. Health Insurance Innovations functions as a convenient technology company for agents, insurance carriers, and consumers whom receive and/or provide insurance benefits. An individual’s issue(s) with the pricing, restrictions and denial or approval of claims under their policy are not within HIIQ’s jurisdiction. HIIQ is willing and able to assist their customers with these issues to the best of the company’s abilities. So, the frustration and discontent expressed in the following reviews are misdirected. We proactively respond to each individual review in the hopes of facilitating clarity and resolution with the customer.

Health Insurance Innovations (HII) Pretend selling PPO health insurance Internet

I went to a website to get health insurance quotes. Almost instantly right after that I got a phone call from HII. The lady asked me all normal and expected questions about me such as age, preexisting health problems, etc… then she gave me a quote which is very low for a PPO HEALTH INSURANCE. She said she would sumarize my info to an application and send it to me to review together with the insurance policy including what it covers, deductables, co-pay each visit, etc… I got a total of 13 documents in an email from HII. After I went through those documents, I found they were not for a health insurance. Instead those are for other things such as life insurance, discount services, etc… I went to Ripoff Report page and found many people reported similar experiences. I went to my bank website and found that they already made a charge to my account. I reported a dispute and got the money back. Lucky me. Please do not let them rip you off. THEY DO NOT HAVE HEALTH INSURANCES to sell.

HHI (Health Insurance Innovations) False information Nationwide

After finding out that I was going to have to have surgery to remove my gallbladder, I decided to get health insurance. I received an email from Health Insurance Innovations, and called to get more information. After speaking with a representative and explaining my situation, I was told that I could get 100% coverage for 109.00 a month, so I did. When I received my insurance card I took it to my hospital so that they could start submitting the necessary information for my upcoming surgery. A few hours later I received a call from the hospital informing me that surgery services were not covered under my insurance. I called health insurance innovations, after being on hold for 45 minutes a representative answered. I explained to her that I was told I would have 100% coverage and my gallbladder surgery wouldn’t cost me anything.

NATIONWIDE HEALTH ADVISORS ? HEALTH INSURANCE INNOVATIONS TOLD US WE WERE BUYING HEALTH INSURANCE FOR MY HUSBAND AND NO MEDICAL/HEALTH INS.RECEIVED TAMPA Florida

Person who talked to us (Chris Peterson, the phone number he gave us to reach him is 800=533-5125 ext. 118) led us to believe we were obtaining medical/dental/vision insurance for my husband.

When on phone with Chris and asking him specific questions about deductibles and copays for Dr. visits etc. He had all the right answers to satisfy us.

I tried to contact Chris a couple of times after that, he had told me that was a direct extension to him, but he was supposedly never there and the person who answered the phone could assist me as they were customer service and had already pulled up all the information on the computer. I had questions about the amounts that were in the first email received because the didnt match with stuff I had written down, but they were able to explain that to me.

We got information on the dental the next day as we were able to come up with $49.95 right away as was put on a credit card.

The first email I received was from some place called principal advantage. on Oct 11.

This email stated that 281 was to be withdrawn from our bank account on the 23rd of Oct. which doesnt show on bank transactions yet (I realize that was just yesterday). I intend to call the bank right away in the morning and see if I can possibly get that stopped.

It also he stated dates insurance would be effective and when/what amount to be withdrawn. I could forward this email to you.

The next email we got was today telling a website we could go to, to check coverage and print documents.

These documents are for life insurance, accident insurance. Nothinng about health insurance which is what my husband needs coverage for. I can forward thiis to you also.

The email today stated it is from hiiquote.com. And now I think I may have accidently deleted it, but I did print it. The email state a copy of this letter was also sent to info@nationwidehealthadvisors.com et when I looked for a website, I could not find one.

Refund

AUTHOR:

I have yet to receive a refund of the initial 49.00 that was charged to my credit card account . My credit card statement shows payment to HII, (Health Insurance Innovations) on Oct 12, 2016. On Nov. 4, I was told by HII that they tried to refund the amount back to my credit card account, but credit card company wouldn't accept it. So they stated they had mailed a check to me on Oct 26 and I should receive it in no more than 14 business days. I have since called them on Nov. 28 and again on Dec 5. Both times I was told pretty much the same thing...check is in the mail and should receive in 14 business days. The last phone call I talked with a person named Wanda and she said if I don't receive the check in the 14 days, I should phone the following number: 877-376-5831, Which is the number of Health Insurance Innovations "Billing & Non-Claims Related Questions" number. This happens to be the same number I have been phoning each time I called. Fourteen working days to call them back is either the 22nd or 23rd of Dec., depending if you count the last day that I talked with them on the phone or not. (Dec. 5). So this is where I have gotten with them. As for their statement regarding the insurance, etc. , it was their employee Chris that led us to believe the ins. was what we were looking for. (As I stated the first time I contacted you) I have received all of the other amounts paid to them, they deposited it into my checking account, which is the account they received it from. Thank You. Response: HII is not Nationwide Health Advisors

AUTHOR: Health Insurance Innovations - (USA)

Health Insurance Innovations - or HII - is not Nationwide Health Advisors. We are a billing and technology resource for consumers after coverage is purchased. We send communications to consumers about coverage purchased from agents as well as help consumers address billing concerns and manage their member portal access so they can review their insurance documents.

Nationwide Health Advisors is the agency that sells insurance products. We manage the online platform through which agents market products from insurance carriers, but agents do not work for or represent HII. If coverage was purchased through Nationwide Health Advisors and the consumer wants to make changes or has concerns about what type of products were purchased, that is a concern best directed to the agency.

Health insurance innovations Tampa Florida

On 6/10 I purchased insurance from this company . I was quoted major medical insurance . I have been fighting with this insurance company since the day I purchased this insurance. First the girl who sold it quoted it as major medical, full dental and vision. First she misspelled our last name. I called to correct it and they fixed my last name but removed my 2 children from the policy all together which I didn’t find out about till yesterday 10/18. They refuse to pay any medical bills and decide what you should have done medically. Yesterday we went to the dentist and I need a procedure done and now they are saying it’s not covered. They also refused to allow my son’s to have a cleaning. I’m extremely angry.
