According to RipOffReport "Since the Ripoff Report was started in 1997, our policy has always remained the same - we don't remove reports. We will not remove reports even when they are claimed to contain defamatory statements. We will not remove reports even if the original author asks us to do so. Also, contrary to what our critics would like to believe, we will NOT remove reports for money. Don't believe us? Just make us an offer and see how we respond." This is a problem. A site with domain authority like Ripoff Report is in a unique position to harm an innocent website by providing a public forum where anyone can say whatever they want about a business, whether it's true or not. Reviews of Health Insurance Innovations (HIIQ or hiiquote) abound across the internet on numerous forums: BBB.org, MyThreeCents.com, ComplaintBoard.com, RipoffReport.com and more. Customers are 100% entitled to their opinion and ability to share their experience with others. However, there is a fundamental misconception about the services Health Insurance Innovations provides. HIIQ is a third-party billing administrator whose technology is used by independent insurance agents and brokers selling products produced by insurance carriers. HIIQ does not insure anyone. HIIQ does not deny claims. HIIQ does not approve claims. Health Insurance Innovations functions as a convenient technology company for agents, insurance carriers, and consumers whom receive and/or provide insurance benefits. An individual’s issue(s) with the pricing, restrictions and denial or approval of claims under their policy are not within HIIQ’s jurisdiction. HIIQ is willing and able to assist their customers with these issues to the best of the company’s abilities. So, the frustration and discontent expressed in the following reviews are misdirected. We proactively respond to each individual review in the hopes of facilitating clarity and resolution with the customer.

Health Insurance Innovations Health Insurance Innovations: Multi-Plan Fruadulent In the Application Process does not appear in their website Nationwide

My son was not eligible for Obamacre and just wanted to sign up with Medicaid. Someone at Healthcare.gov hooked him up with someone representing Health Care Innovations who took his account and soc sec info and said he’d be charged $130 and $69 a month thereafter. Then I checked out reviews and saw hundreds of complaints about denial fo payment, prescription cards that pay nothing or next to nothing, and difficulty cancelling, plus it was not considered (according to one review) to be a minimum essential care coverage that would avoid a penalty. I told him to cancel immediately and the guy suddenly was too busy to deal with him, finally told him he’d cancelled it verbally and said he would send him an email confirmation at a later time but that he would be charged $130, but credited within 30 days. I didn’t trust that response and told him to contact a representative. It turns out it wasn’t cancelled and that the account, with all my son’s personal information, was opened under another person’s name (Travis ‘soandso’). The agent at the company even said that was strange. Anyway the agent updated it with his proper name and then my son was able to go in and cancel it himself and he wasn’t charged. I am not sure where the fraud lies here (the company or the agent), but it does not at all seem like real insurance. So be careful if you are connected to John Ramirez for this insurance and research the BBB reports and complaints before you sign up. Even their website says they are all about the shareholders which means (to me) signing up as many suckers, and paying out as little as possible. It appears they have no location – except for a website https://www.hiiquote.com/about_us.php

Health Insurance Innovations HIIQUOTEAllied National – Global Care BAD NEWS TOOK MONEY EVERY MONTH – WILL NOT PAY ANY CLAIMS Tampa Florida

I was searching for health insurance policies and received a call from Health Insurance Innovations. They were very dishonest about the plan they were selling me. They said that my “pre-existing” conditions would be covered. They said that preventative care would be covered. They said that the government would accept my new policy as coverage.

All Lies! The policy is a temporary coverage policy that only covers you if you get sick with something new, or get into an accident.

Unfortunately, I DID get sick with something new….5 months of testing and specialists, trying to diagnose the problem. So far Allied National has not paid for ONE single visit…but they take my money every month.

They have sent me questionaires to fill out, asking for every doctor I’ve seen for the last 10 years. I have done everything they have asked.

On one claim, they lied and said that the doctor coded the visit as preventative and that is why it’s not covered. I contacted the doctor’s office and they sent me the actual reports, showing everything as “Diagnostic”.

When I attempt to call the claims dept I sit on hold for an hour or more before I even get an answer.

The rep tells me that they are waiting for one more doctor’s office (an urgent care walk in clinic) to send them my records so they can eliminate the concern of pre-existing conditions. I followed up and found out that the clinic was shut down, and I contacted the number for getting files from them. I received all of my files…two visits for sinus infections. I mailed them to Allied over a month ago. I am still receiving “pending” notifications and all of the medical offices are now sending me into collections.

On top of that, I remain “undiagnosed” as I have stopped going to more specialists for more testing.

I have signed up with a different insurance company and I am cancelling with this one…but I don’t know what to do next to get my claims paid for?

I have paid all of my co-pays and deductibles.

Health Insurance Innovations HIIQ, SIMPLE HEALTH SCAM!! TAMPA Florida

This company is a ripoff. Go to the BBB.org wesite and search for Health Insurance Innovations and you will find all the information you need. Many, many, open and unresolved cases. They are also doing business under the name Simple Health.

This company called me a couple of days ago to sell me health insurance, which I needed since I had just cancelled what insurance I had through the Government Exchange (ObamaCare). The minute I hung up the phone with them, it didn’t feel right. I immediately called back to cancel and the REFUSED to cancel it. They kept putting me on hold, passing me to someone else (you can tell it’s a small office and they just kept passng the phone around to one another). One lady flat out told me she would not allow me to cancel and that my credit card would be (and was) charged in two amounts…one in the amount of $692 and one in the amount of $80. Another guy I talked to told me that I needed insurance and he would not allow me to cancel.

So, I realized what was happening, called my credit card (too late) and did a web search on this company only to be horrifed by what I had found. I’m so mad at myself for letting this happen and not being more diligent.

But, the really sad thing about it is, they may have gotten me for some money, but if you read other stories, this company has caused serious financial hardships on many, many people. People who have kept this “insurance”, not realizing it wasn’t real, now have thousands and thousands of dollars of medical bills to pay.

I had to cancel my credit card, open up a dispute charge. I have also contacted the BBB and well as the Federal Insurance Board (or whatever it’s called).

DANGEROUS COMPANY. I don’t understand why the government hasn’t done anything about them. So, that is why I’m going from website to website, leaving reviews and calling whoever I can to help fight this.

Health Insurance Innovations Misleading Internet

Health Insurance Innovations is an Insurance Broker that sells short term policies. The policies are useless though. They cover basically nothing preventative. If you end up in the ER they will cover a portion of the bill but anything else it does not appear after reading the policy is covered. This is not explained up front. The whole point of insurance is to avoid the ER. If they will not cover a simple check up once or twice a year then why have it? At almost $400 a month this seems like a rip off to me. Calling the company to cancel the policy (because you have 10 days within purchase to cancel the policy or be held responsible for the charges) I find out this health insurance is through Ameritus which is a travelers insurance. That makes so much sense to me that it only covers emergencie because that is what a traveler would need coverage. But it is not a good policy for just the average person who needs insurance so they can go to the doctor once in awhile. If they had told me all of this up front I would have politely declined but as it is I think this is a shell game and pretty shady because I am sure lots of people did not take the time to actually pull up the policy rules on line and find out what is actually covered (basically nothing) and were out at least one month’s payment if not more.

Health Insurance Innovations Simply Health HEALTH INSURANCE SCAM, SCAM ARTISTS, THEIVES Tampa Florida

I was solicited for health insurance, due to the Jan. 15 Affordable Care deadline. I agreed to speak to an agent, “Michael D’Appio” , with Simply Health, who offered me a multiplan nationwide PPO for me and my daughter for $289.84 per month with a $155 activation fee that would guarantee the price would not go up. They assured me it met government requirements.

It seemed legit at the time, as I was thinking I was talking to an Affordable Care health insurance provider. I agreed to the policy, went through a very lengthy recording process where I was read details about the policy by an agent that barely spoke English and I was required to say ‘yes’ to statements. After the transaction was complete, I never received a confirmation email.

When I called to inquire, I was put on hold and given excuses. I called the agent again, and was given excuses and told I would receive everything in 7-10 days. I was not given a policy # or confirmation #.

I called Michael again in order to get more info from him, asked him his last name, and he said, “Oh this is getting serious. What? Are you going to report me or something?” He told me his last name was D’Appio, but would not provide an email address or physical address, but did direct me to https://www.hiiquote.com/ . No one answers the phone if I call the numbers. A search on line turned up other fraud reports. http://www.yelp.com/biz/health-insurance-innovations-tampa

I have contacted my credit card to dispute the charge. I have continued to call the billing dept. number “Michael” gave me and am disconnected as soon as I identify myself. I have reported the incident to the isurance commissioner in my sate, but I am concerned that due to lack of real contact info, they will not be bought to justice. These people need to be located and shut down once and for all. How can we make this happen??

Health Insurance Innovations RIPPED OFF!! Nationwide

On December 30th, I decided to get Health Insurance. I received a call from Health Insurance Innovations. They gave me a good deal for me and my wife.Of course like a dummy, I gave these clowns my debit card number. So I was charged 370 dollars for the intial enrollment payment. The name of the salesperson that set up my account was named Reggie Hyainth. His phone number is (443) 219-3785 ext. 316. He was actually pretty good at his job customer service wise. So on the same day after confering with my wife, I decided to cancel. I was transferred to someone who isn’t suited to talk to anyone on the phone. His name is Jason and his number is (443) 957-4722. The gall of this guy talking to people with an attitude when it involves your freaking money is mind blowing. He told me everything was pending and for me to call the next day. I called him the next day and he informed me that the account was cancelled and I should be receiving my refund in 2 to 5 day. Well obviouly that did not come into fruition considering that I am writing about these con artists. So the last few days of calling and getting no feedback, I am putting these people on front street. Don’t ever sign up these clowns. Save yourself the trouble. Stay away from Health Insurance Innovations.

HIIQUOTE.com, Health Insurance Innovations IS A SCAM! Misrepresenting health insurance coverage Internet

A man named Omar (877-820-1211 ext. 101) called me when I went online to look for health insurance coverage in 2016. He told me about a very affordable health insurance coverage that would cover all of my health insurance needs, at a much lower cost than I was paying previously.

While I was deliberating, Omar checked to make sure that my doctors, and medications were covered, and even got dental and vision coverage. Today, I opened my email to go over the “plans” that I had purchased, and was appalled to find out that this is not an insurance plan, but some kind of discount services plan, and is not even affiliated with any insurance company.

I immediately called the member services number, but was never able to get through to someone. I also tried the phone number that Omar gave me without any success. Both times, I just went on hold, without the ability to leave a message in a voicemail box, and a constantly repeating message that said “All representatives are currently busy, please hold the line.”

I also went on line to cancel my policy there, but was unable to log in. I have already contacted my bank to make sure there are no transactions associated with this company.
